8mm Salmon/ Steelhead Beads
These plastic beads work fantastic for Steelhead, Browns, and Salmon during the runs. Typically these beads are used with a centerpin rod, or spinning rod under a float. 20 beads per pack. discounted price when a Variety Kit of all colors is bought (one 20 pack of each color. 160 total beads). (bucktail not included)
Recommended Technique:
Using a longer rod set up for float fishing, peg a bead roughly 2” above a hook (octopus preferred where allowed). 8” above the bead add a few split shots to get the bead down into the river/stream quickly. Set a float to allow the bead to be roughly 4” above the river/ stream bed. Cast up stream and allow float to float down stream while mending line to keep drifts as drag free as possible.
