Rocker Ice Jig
The Midwest’s legendary Spitzfire ice jigs are now available at Spring Green Tackle. These Rocker ice jigs are hand soldered and hand painted right here in Wisconsin. These work fantastic for panfish through the ice, and under a bobber for open water fishing. Spawning fish wont know what hit them. Available in size 8 and size 10. In glow back, or shiny nickel.
Recommended techniques:
Winter: using a wax worm and a jigging rod, allow jig to fall to roughly 1 foot from bottom, give it slow twitches. After a few twitches, reel in 6” and continue this process until fish are located.
Spring/Summer/Fall: Depending on location and water temps will determine depth needed to fish. These jigs work great tipped with a leaf worm. A bobber roughly 2 feet above the jig will allow it to stay in the strike zone. Adjust depth as needed. Fish near structure, weed edges, and drop offs.
